Personality and the Study Of Lives
The interdisciplinary cluster Personality and Study of Lives (PSL) draws together social scientists with interests in the study of lives, personality, motivation, attachment, identities, and developmental pathways as they emerge in a variety of contexts, and influence cognitive, social, or emotional processes.
PSL faculty, for example, study personality and/or lives in the context of families, peers, schools, creative endeavors, and diverse cultures. We use a variety of research approaches, including longitudinal and cross-sectional designs, large samples as well as case studies, self-narratives, autobiographical memories, behavioral observations, and multi-faceted personality assessments.
The PSL group functions as a thought community and forum for the exchange and development of ideas and to facilitate collaborative research.
